At DS Group, we believe meaningful progress in sustainable agriculture comes from empowering farming communities at the grassroots level.

With the inauguration of two new Bio-Resource Centres in the remote Dang region of Karauli, Rajasthan, we continue to strengthen a farming ecosystem that is community-led and designed to deliver environmental sustainability and economic value with long-term impact. With this expansion, the BRC network now comprises 30 centres supporting farmers across 86 villages.

Driven by local communities, these centres enable farmers to move towards low-cost, chemical-free and sustainable farming practices, leading to improved soil health, reduced input dependency, and more resilient livelihoods.

The Bharat Spices Conclave 2026, organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with DS Group, brought together stakeholders and experts from government, industry, institutions, Spices Board of India, hospitality, and nutrition sectors to chart the roadmap for doubling India’s spice economy.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Chirag Paswan, Hon’ble Minister for Food Processing Industries, who emphasised spices as a key part of India’s trade legacy and called for a shift towards value-driven growth through innovation, food processing, and global integration—envisioning India as a “global food basket” under Viksit Bharat 2047.

As Co-Chair of the National Committee of Food Processing, DS Group was represented by Mr. J.D. Desai, with participation from panelists Mr. Sandeep Ghosh and Mr. Anmol Badsra.

The conclave emphasized positioning Indian spices as high-value products to drive farmer income, MSME growth, exports, and a future-ready ecosystem — marking a collective step towards shaping the future of India’s spice economy.
