I finally visited Ben’s Cookies, the newly opened first India outlet of the iconic British cookie brand at Meherchand Market, Delhi, and I have only one complaint: nobody warned me that a cookie could trigger this level of emotional attachment. 🍪😂 The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the smell of freshly baked cookies that should honestly be classified as a distraction to public productivity. I went in thinking, “It’s just a cookie.” I walked out questioning every packaged cookie I’ve ever eaten in my life. These aren’t your average cookies. They’re thick, chunky, warm, slightly crisp on the outside, and ridiculously soft and gooey inside. Every bite feels like the baker personally decided that moderation is overrated and loaded the dough with an absurd amount of chocolate. And honestly thank you for that. What impressed me most was the freshness. You can actually tell these cookies are baked fresh throughout the day. No dry texture, no artificial aftertaste, no feeling that they’ve been sitting on a shelf since last Diwali. Just warm, comforting, indulgent goodness. The chocolate chunks deserve a separate review. They’re not tiny symbolic chocolate specks included for legal reasons. They’re generous, melty pieces that make every bite feel luxurious. You don’t search for the chocolate here—the chocolate finds you. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: the price. Yes, these cookies are premium. But after tasting them, I understood that Ben’s Cookies isn’t really selling cookies; they’re selling an experience, nostalgia, comfort, happiness, and possibly temporary loss of self control. Final verdict: If you’re a cookie lover, this place is dangerous. If you’re on a diet, walk past quickly and avoid eye contact. If you’re somewhere in between, accept your fate and order a cookie.
