Founded by Dr. Ashwini Deore and Dr. Yoginee Budhkar, Cerana Meads is all about meads—the ancient yet timeless drink made from honey, water, and yeast. Their journey started in 2015, driven by a deep love for nature, a fascination with bees, and a shared appreciation for well-crafted drinks.
When Yoginee first discovered mead, she was hooked—but finding it locally was impossible. So, she began experimenting, and as her creations won over friends and family, the idea of a meadery took shape. She teamed up with Ashwini, a fellow Ph.D. scholar with a passion for fermentation, and together they launched Cerana Meads.
From their meadery in Sinnar, Nashik, they craft authentic meads using top-quality honey and locally sourced fruits, staying true to the essence of traditional brewing while celebrating bold Indian flavours.
A few years ago, we collaborated on a Braggot and called it Parle-B—a nod to our shared roots in Vile Parle. We’d love to do another collab with them sometime soon!
