The Flat Abs Secret I Wish I'd Discovered Years Ago
Deepak had a routine.
Wake up. Lace up his shoes. Walk three rounds at the Race Course. Nod politely at the regulars. Pretend he wasn't slightly out of breath on the uphill stretch.
Then one Monday morning, his routine was interrupted.
Roshini walked past.
"Wait... is that really you?" he blurted out.
She laughed. "Good morning to you too!"
"I don't mean to be rude," Deepak said, trying to recover, "but you've... changed. You look lighter. Happier. What's your secret?"
Roshini smiled.
"You promise not to laugh?"
"I'll try."
"It's my sugar."
Deepak blinked.
"Your... sugar?"
"Yes."
He looked at her suspiciously.
"I was expecting something dramatic. A celebrity fitness coach. A miracle diet. Or one of those green drinks that tastes like freshly mowed lawn."
She laughed.
"Nothing that painful."
"Come on... don't tell me sugar is suddenly good for you."
"No," she said. "I'm saying not all sugar behaves the same way."
That got his attention.
She explained that the sugar she had switched to is absorbed much more slowly. Instead of flooding the bloodstream and causing a sharp spike, it releases steadily, giving the body more time to use it as energy rather than storing the excess as fat.
Deepak stood there for a few seconds.
"So all these years I've been arguing with my stomach..."
"...when the real culprit was the sugar?"
"You could say that."
He sighed dramatically.
"I've bought gym memberships I never used, downloaded fitness apps I never opened, and even owned a juicer for six months."
"What happened to the juicer?"
"It's now an extremely expensive kitchen decoration."
They both laughed.
As they started walking again, Deepak asked the question he'd been waiting to ask.
"So... what's this wonder sugar called?"
Roshini smiled.
"Sugarlif."
The smarter sugar that slows sugar absorption, helps avoid sugar spikes, and supports your body in using sugar as energy instead of storing excess sugar as fat.
