When I started Oh Stuffy from a small cloud kitchen, I didn’t have a team.

I was doing almost everything myself — from organising the kitchen and managing orders to figuring out sourcing, production and all the tiny things that keep a food business running.

Even as we started growing, the kitchen was too small to build a proper team. And back then, I genuinely thought it was holding me back.

Now, I see it completely differently.

Doing the grunt work for over a year has probably become one of my biggest advantages as a founder.

Because I don’t just know how things should work theoretically. I know what actually happens on the ground.

I know how a kitchen needs to be organised for maximum efficiency. I know what to source, where to source it from, what can go wrong during production, and the small everyday problems you only discover when you’re the one actually doing the work.

And that changes how I lead my team today.

I know how to train someone because I’ve done their job myself. I know what expectations are realistic. I know where inefficiencies creep in. And I know when a process needs fixing instead of simply expecting someone to “work better”

Sometimes the work you think is slowing you down in the beginning is actually preparing you to grow better later. 🤍

Being loved isn’t always the same as being craved. 🤎

Our Cranberry Cookie was one of my personal favourites. It was different, and everyone who tried it genuinely enjoyed it. But it wasn’t the flavour you found yourself craving every weekend or coming back for again and again.

At Oh Stuffy, that repeat craving is what keeps us going. We want to create products that become part of your routines, celebrations and little weekly indulgences—not something you enjoy only once.

And that’s exactly why, despite all the love it received, we decided to let the Cranberry Cookie go. Because sometimes, creating better also means making space for flavours you simply can’t stop thinking about.
