It took 40+ litres of water to fully hydrate this 5 kg compressed cocopeat brick!

But before using cocopeat for your plants, don’t forget one important step: WASH IT. 🧂💦

Cocopeat can contain soluble salts and excess minerals depending on its source and processing. Rinsing helps remove excess soluble salts before adding it to your potting mix.

So the process is:

5 KG compressed cocopeat
➜ 40+ litres water
➜ Fully expanded
➜ Wash & rinse
➜ Drain properly
➜ Ready to use 🌱

Scientific fact: Cocopeat has excellent water-holding capacity while retaining air spaces around roots, which makes it a useful growing medium for gardening and soilless cultivation.

💧 How much water does a 5 KG Cocopeat Brick actually need?

Most people add water randomly and either over-soak or under-hydrate the cocopeat. 🌱

In Part 1, we’re testing the actual water requirement of a 5 KG compressed cocopeat brick and showing how much it expands after hydration.

🌱 Cocopeat is a natural growing medium made from coconut husk. Its high porosity and water-holding capacity make it useful for seed starting, potting mixes, nurseries and container gardening.

But the important question is: HOW MUCH WATER?

🌹 गुलाब के पौधे में चाहिए ढेर सारे फूल? 🌹

अगर आप भी अपने Rose Plant में इस वीडियो जैसे खूबसूरत और ज्यादा गुलाब देखना चाहते हैं, तो soil care पर ध्यान देना बहुत जरूरी है! 🌱

☕ इस्तेमाल की हुई चाय पत्ती या coffee grounds को सीधे ज्यादा मात्रा में डालने के बजाय compost करके या सीमित मात्रा में मिट्टी में मिलाना बेहतर होता है। ये organic matter बढ़ाने में मदद कर सकते हैं, लेकिन सिर्फ इन्हें डालने से मिट्टी हमेशा acidic नहीं होती।

🌹 Healthy Rose Plant के लिए ध्यान रखें:
🌱 अच्छी drainage वाली मिट्टी
☀️ पर्याप्त धूप
💧 सही watering
