Did you know how some chillies grow downward on a plant towards the ground whereas some varieties grow upward towards the sky?

Chillies can impart such great character to any dish. We love infusing different varieties of chillies into our food pantry.

We are currently growing birds eye chillies (one of our favourite varieties) from the seeds we had saved when we grew it earlier. It grows upwards on a plant. And starts with a bright green colour to black then light orange and eventually the deep red that we absolutely love watching. We find this the most resilient variety to grow yearlong. And just one or two are enough to give the punch to any dish.

The other two green chilli varieties are our first timers. Both growing downwards. One is a very thin chilli light green in colour. And the other is a deep green thick chilli that's pretty hot too.
Both these varieties were grown from seeds we saved from the chillies we found locally in the market.
