Yesterday, I had the honour of speaking on Akashvani (All India Radio)—India’s national public radio broadcaster and one of the country’s oldest and most trusted media institutions.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Smt. Seema Kumari Ji, Assistant Director of Programme, Akashvani Hyderabad, for the warm conversation and for inviting me to share my thoughts on environmental conservation through such a historic platform. It was truly a humbling experience.

At Sujatha Gardens, we have always believed that protecting nature begins with awareness, followed by action. Whether it’s conserving water, planting and nurturing trees, reducing waste, or helping children reconnect with nature, every small step matters.

I am grateful to Akashvani for this memorable opportunity and to everyone who has supported Sujatha Gardens on this journey. 💚

Our last mango has found its home, and our hearts are full!!!
Thank you to our family, friends, volunteers, loyal customers, and all the new faces who welcomed a little piece of Sujatha Gardens into their homes this season. Your love, trust, and patience mean more than words can say.

A special thank you to Mother Nature for her generous bounty, the sunshine, the rains, and every sweet mango she blessed us with.

From flowering trees to packed Bags every Mango carried a story… and we’re so grateful you were part of it.

Today, we had the blessing of performing an Abhishekam for Shirdi Sai Baba using fresh mango pulp and jamun juice from Sujatha Gardens. 🥭💜

As we did it, a thought crossed my mind—one that many people discuss these days.

When fruits, milk, and other food items are offered to God, some feel that they are being wasted and would be better used to feed those in need. It’s a viewpoint that comes from compassion and concern, and I completely understand it.

At the same time, for many devotees, these offerings are an expression of love, gratitude, faith, and devotion. Just as we offer flowers, prayers, and our time, these offerings are made with a grateful heart.

Personally, I believe both devotion and charity have a place in our lives. While we offer fruits to God on special occasions, we also regularly donate fruits from Sujatha Gardens to old-age homes, orphanages, children in need, and to families and caregivers outside hospitals who are often spending long hours caring for loved ones. For us, one does not replace the other.

But it made me curious…

What do you feel?

Should offerings such as milk, fruits, and Abhishekams continue as part of our religious traditions? Or do you believe those resources should instead be directed entirely toward helping people?

I’d genuinely love to hear different perspectives. Let’s keep the conversation respectful and open-hearted. 🙏
