This October 20, India’s chefs will celebrate the day in two good ways:
with their kitchen teams & by feeding their local community. International Chefs Day (ICD) is the one day each year dedicated to professional chefs. It’s been observed worldwide on October 20 since 2004, celebrated in 100+ countries at thousands of establishments by millions of F&B industry professionals. On International Chef
’s Day, professional chefs leave their kitchens – for a few hours only – to engage with their local communities for charitable causes; by cooking or serving food. Twitter:

Overall, the aim is to improve the image of this profession and raise public awareness in favour of healthy food and against the sad excess of food waste. International Chefs Day is originally a social initiative by the World Association of Chefs Societies. This year, India’s chef brigade is going bigger and wider in it’s approach. Inclusive and decentralised, we’ve got two goals – to empower the individual chef and synchronise efforts nationwide. We’d like nothing better than to get the message across to every chef to be a in anyway he can. It’s that rare chef who excels both in the kitchen and at marketing. For the other mere mortal chefs, our website’s for you (intlchefday.in). It takes care of 80% of the workload stress of preparing for ICD; the 20% is up to your organisational skills. It’s a free resource to help you organise your activity. Please make the most of the central directory of presentations, help files, press releases, marketing material and best practices. The community is here to help 24x7. Reach out, help out.
