Learnt initially that permaculture stands for permanent agriculture when i begun in 2018. Learning everyday since then; realising it’s much beyond. It’s a way of life. World can quickly perceive if one says ‘living sustainably’. Let’s communicate in a way that is perceivable for most of my world!
When I did take up the ‘school building’ project, the first thing in mind was that of restoring a near dilapidating ‘conventionally built’ tool shed. That itself had been a huge learning, keeping in store for sharing sometime later. We followed the principle of permaculture in that tried to stack many functions in it.
For now, let me come to the new structure as last week has been my first visit after its completion ( though structures complete and dwellers just begin there! )
It’s school building at the core, with a huge open veranda. There are good and bad of everything. It’s hot nearly to being unusable during very harsh summer, apprehending to be more or less same during chilly winters. There will definitely be ways of circumventing those in a sustainable way in due course.💪
Monsoon has been unimaginably pleasant as expected. This trip has rejuvenated me against all odds to give me a ‘dream’ to create another ambiance, for myself more than others!
