This initiative, led under NDDBโs guidance, is a significant step towards promoting sustainability and circular economy in the dairy sector. The proposed CBG plant will efficiently utilize cattle dung to produce clean CBG along with nutrient-rich organic fertilizers, supporting sustainable agriculture.
The project will help improve soil health, reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers, promote natural farming practices, create additional income opportunities for dairy farmers, and contribute meaningfully to Indiaโs carbon neutrality goals.
SUMUL Dairy has been actively working in the renewable energy space and has already installed 6,543 family-size biogas plants. In addition, community biogas plants and farm-level biogas plants have also been successfully implemented, strengthening dung management and clean energy generation at the grassroots level.
SUMUL Dairy remains committed to renewable energy, sustainable development, and farmer empowerment, working closely with NDDB to scale such impactful initiatives.
