Bodhana (Thiruvalla Social Service Society) is the Social and Development Department of the Archdiocese of Thiruvalla. It is registered under the Travancore -Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Society’s Act of 1955 as a secular voluntary organization. Ever since it’s inception in 1972, it has been in the forefront of social transformation of the less privileged. At present, Bodhana is init
iating exclusive developmental operations in four Revenue Districts of Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Alappuzha apart from various other service linkages all over the state. Bodhana actively collaborates with like-minded NGOs, PRIs and Government Institutions to evolve new developmental strategies, approaches and programmes. Bodhana coordinates multi-faceted activities through different departments functioning at the central office. Each department is specialized in one or more fields such as agriculture, social development, community organizations, supportive programmes, rehabilitation, etc. Department which focuses on developing honey products is:
