🍍 Fresh Pineapple Harvest at Bhoomi Natural Food Forest! 🌿

Today, we harvested pineapples from the Bhoomi Natural Food Forest.

These plants were brought from Manipur and are the Victoria Queen variety — the famous GI-tagged Manipur Pineapple.

Slightly smaller in size, but incredibly sweet, juicy, aromatic, and full of flavour. It is truly one of India’s finest pineapples.

We have around 50 plants of this variety growing in our Food Forest, and seeing them reach harvest is a beautiful feeling.

Jackfruit teaches us something simple:
First, build strong roots. Then, wait patiently. The fruit will come when the tree is ready.

At the Bhoomi Natural Food Forest, our native jackfruit tree has been a beautiful reminder that nature works on its own timeline.

This is a traditional desi variety, and it takes around 8 years to start producing fruit. And once it does, you understand why the wait is worth it — we’ve harvested jackfruits weighing 10 kg or more from our food forest! 🤎

But before a tree can carry such a heavy fruit, the tree itself needs time to grow strong.

That’s the story behind these three photographs — from patiently waiting, to an early harvest, and finally to a perfectly mature jackfruit. 🌳

And honestly, when you finally harvest a beautiful, mature jackfruit from a tree you’ve waited years for… the wait feels absolutely worth it. 🌿
