Varenyam Farms

Varenyam Farms Varenyam Farms brings to you the delicacy of the Valsad Alphonso and Kesar mangoes grown on our own f Please give us a call for any queries.

The Valsad Haapus and Kesar are available from May end onwards. These are most famous in India due to their superior quality. These mangoes are bigger, sweeter and fleshier than their cousins from other parts of the country. We have been growing the best mangoes for a record 75 years now. Each of our mangoes undergoes a health check, where it is inspected for wounds, spots, sap marks, etc. We then

segregate them by weight (325gm+ down to 100gm+ size) into its respective basket and then it is sent for packing. In short, you'll savour the best "Mango experience" from farm-to-fork! We promise you a flavorful summer this year!

Native moringa harvest felt different this time, not because the yield was extraordinary, but because we harvested the desi rough skin variety!
These native, rough-skin drumsticks are getting harder to find in markets. They aren’t as uniform and smooth as hybrids, but better suited to this land and packed with fibre and essential nutrients like vitamin C and minerals that are good for gut health and everyday nutrition.
Along with the harvest, we have let a few pods stay back to dry fully, and saved the seeds to see how it builds over time.

Farm stories 2: Planning ahead is a crucial part of farming. We are cutting and storing Napier grass today, so our cows stay nourished while our team takes a well deserved break to celebrate Holi with their families.

Farm Stories 1: Did you know Gujarat grows 300+ varieties of bor? 🌿
In Gujarat, bor (ber) is more than just a fruit—it is a living heritage.
Each variety is unique in flavour, texture, and character. Gujarat’s land especially nurtures diverse cultivars like Umran, Gola, Banarasi, Kaithali, Mundia, Elaichi, Seb, Ajmeri, and Randeri—each reflecting the richness of our soil and climate.
Bor trees are incredibly resilient! They withstand harsh summers, adapt to changing seasons, and continue to give year after year.

This bor tree here is especially close to our hearts.
It was planted by our grandfather many decades ago, and today it continues to nourish us—just as his vision and legacy continue to nurture our family and farm.

Some trees don’t just grow fruit.
They grow memories, roots, and generations. 🌳

Our founder, Hemantbhai Shah, was a visionary who took immense pride in calling himself a farmer. Long before “clean labels” and “organic” became buzzwords, he believed that food must be pure, ethical, and honest - even if that meant slower growth and lower profits.
Today, though long overdue, we finally share the story behind our jaggery - because every pure product deserves its honest story.

In 2015, he made a bold observation. Where most commercially available jaggery in India was adulterated, chemically treated, artificially enhanced for colour and shelf life — he made a firm decision — We will make jaggery the way it is meant to be made. Pure. Clean. Honest.
So he asked a simple question:
How and where is the best jaggery in the world made?
That question took him across continents — to Colombia, South America, where jaggery, known as Panela, is produced with deep respect for tradition and science. He personally visited multiple units, studied their processes, and finally chose to learn from one of the finest panela producers — a founder who shared his uncompromising standards.
For an entire week, he immersed himself in the science of chemical-free jaggery making, with special focus on the most critical step — purification. No synthetic clarifiers. No additives. Only nature doing what it does best.
He returned not only with knowledge, but with seeds of the very fruits used in natural jaggery purification. Seeds he planted on our soil with intention and patience.
🌱 Today, those trees stand tall — and their fruits are part of our jaggery-making process.
Every batch of Varenyam Farms jaggery is still made using:
• Naturally grown sugarcane
• Traditional slow boiling
• Fruit-based natural purification
• Zero chemicals. Zero preservatives. Zero shortcuts.
Every block of our jaggery carries his journey, patience and belief - and above all - integrity, traceability, and respect for the land.
We’re immensely grateful that our jaggery has been loved and trusted by those who value real food.

Some lives are like fertile soil —
they nourish quietly,
they give endlessly,
and long after, they continue to sustain growth.
Today, we honor the life and legacy of Shri Hemantbhai M. Shah, Founder of Varenyam Farms.
A man of quiet strength, integrity, and purpose, he believed that true growth begins with responsibility—to the land, to people, and to future generations. His vision laid the foundation of Varenyam Farms, rooted in values that continue to guide us every day.
We were truly blessed to have him in our lives and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.
His legacy lives on in the work we do, the standards we uphold, and the community we nurture.
With gratitude and deep respect, we remember him🕊️

Our father , the founder of HMS Varenyam Farms and Gir Gaushala, was awarded the IARI Innovative Farmer Award at the PUSA Mela in Delhi. After years of his dedication, hard work, and a deep passion for agriculture, we are truly humbled and honored to receive this award from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. It’s a testament to the countless hours spent working with the land, the challenges faced, and the lessons learned along the way. This recognition isn’t just ours —it’s for everyone who’s supported us on this journey, and for the amazing community of farmers who inspire us every day. Here’s to continuing to grow, learn, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in agriculture. 🌱🙏 ”

National Milk Day, 26th November 2023, Guwahati Assam. The day we were conferred with the National Gopal Ratna Award, for best Dairy farmer and farm rearing indigenous cow species in India. It was a surreal experience to be bestowed upon with this honour. This initiative is taken by the Govt of India to encourage farmers working to conserve, preserve and promote indigenous cow species from various states. Farmers who take measures to enhance productivity and maintain ethical systematic farms, that employ use of technology for cows, milking and farm management. The govt is taking deep measures to drive this initiative at grass root level and motivate our farmers - a field that is definitely not (and can’t be) driven by profitability. One year to this day - grateful for all the love and support we have received - our commitment only grows stronger 🙏🏼 Ps: the last picture is the Kamakhya Devi temple of Assam, one of the revered Shaktipeeths. #2023

One year to this day the 18th of November 2023! One week before we would receive the National Gopal Ratna Award 2023! Would like to share a little behind-the-scenes of the process. We got a call at 5 am from Delhi - they informed us that a videography team is en route to our farm and would reach by 7.30 am. They would be shooting for one entire day at the farm - all activities from milking of cows, herd management, milk packing and delivery, farm labour management, ghee production, jivaamrit and manure making, cleaning procedures etc. And all this while we didn’t know whether we had been selected for the Gopal Ratna Award YET. It was a surprise visit from the centre, where the team was supposed to be “invisible” and we just had to go with the flow - how we’d go about on a regular day on the farm. This recording would be sent to the state and central authorities for furthering the process of selection or elimination. They shot for an entire day and left late evening - obviously leaving us a sleepless night 🙈 Stay tuned for more updates this entire week leading up to one of the most epic moments of our lives!
