Recently I had the privilege of working with . She was just amazing in every way. Her professionalism was unmistakable as she spoke with such passion and persistence. As a motivational speaker at an event, she had the 400 audience enthralled.

China Grass Halwa!

This is first for me! It is made from China grass, dry fruits, Mava and cream! Yesterday was Imammat Day, on this the Imam was elected, he became the 50th Imam and the 5th Aga Khan.

A gift from a colleague who celebrated this day with his near and dear ones and treated us to the yummies too!

Little joys we keep...

Yes, keep the joys. Small pleasures. Big memories. and I were chatting about Dida's Til-Er-Nadu, she would make on Sankranti. We both could not stop drooling over the reminiscent taste in our mouth. Now, that's a big memory! Nanda also said Mami, her mom made amazing Pithes, I had no idea, would have loved to try them and then I hung up and remembered Ma's Patishapta, on this occasion which were mind blowing!

So, my submission, continue to follow the rituals, and keep making memories, someday somewhere they will make two people remember with fondness and make their day!

Us ANTs are wishing you today, and we are working on a pitch presentation while eating Koraishuti-Kochuris, another 14th January food ritual!

After a back breaking few days, Christmas decorations at home are feeling more special! It is infectious - Johnny n Sam and Liz and Venkat's pre Christmas parties, the Christmas goodies from Neha and Glenn and Sam and Johnny, the feel in a very very crowded Bandra with all shops and cafes sporting the red and gold, Netflix getting filled with Chrismas movies, lovely Christmas posts by friends like Manu and Tulip and others too, dinner catch ups with friends at Bandra restaurants lit up with trees glittering away, more plans being made at friends' homes and clubs......there is magic in the air! And then a fam jam to look forward to, icing on the cake!

This morning was spent in just languishing in the contemporary comfort vibes .bandra , ordering different brekkie dishes, enjoying the gentle pre Christmas cheer, spending an extra minute at their pantry, sipping the ginger infused pomegranate juice and meeting the wonderful owner

Mourola maach -er chorchori

In English this fish is called Indian river minnow. This is a fresh water fish. You just pop the fish in, bones intact. Eat the whole fish, basically, cooked with potatoes (can add Brinjal too), in mustard,onions, ginger garlic paste, green chillies and seasonings.

Mixed with rice, it turns out divine. The dish is dry, no gravy in it. The mustard helps it blend well with white rice. Definitely a bit spicy, the dish tastes very spunky.

Brainwave recipe!

Bharta fever continues....I took whole big green chillies and roughly chopped them...chopped some onion and garlic cloves...grated a bit of ginger...Next massaged salt , turmeric and chilli powder on small shrimps...gently fried the shrimps for a quick bit in mustard oil..Then warmed mustard oil , sauted onion, ginger and garlic...added the big fat green chillies ..in a bit added grated coconut...then threw in the prawns.. ..flavoured with pink salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and tossed it at low heat for about 3 min. Brought it to room temperature and coarsely ground in the blender.

Made a delicious Bharta with hot rice and a dash of mustard oil.
