This year, as in previous years, we’re excited to host our annual Íslandshestar Photo Competition! 📸🐴

We’ve received so many wonderful photos from our tours over the years, and we can’t wait to see the special moments you captured with us in 2026.

We have availabilty on two of our most authentic tours this autumn! Landmannafréttur: Sept 11-17th and Rangárvallaafréttur: Sept 13-19th

Round-ups are among Iceland’s oldest and most cherished cultural traditions. Throughout the summer, horses and sheep roam freely across the mountains and valleys. In autumn, they are gathered from their pastures and driven back to the countryside, where they are sorted and returned to their farmers.

By joining one of our Round-Ups you become part of this authentic Icelandic tradition. You will ride alongside local farmers, helping to herd and sort the animals. It is a truly memorable experience!
