There is nothing quite like cooking a juicy burger in the great outdoors! 🌿🍔 In this video, I'm whipping up a classic campfire burger complete with a quick, mouth-watering homemade sauce right in the middle of nature. The sounds of the wilderness mixed with the sizzle of the patty are pure perfection. Check out the recipe below and let me know your favorite burger topping in the comments! 👇
The Recipe: Campfire Burger & Secret Sauce
The Secret Sauce:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1 tsp yellow mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions: Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
The Burger:
1/2 lb high-quality ground beef (80/20 blend is best for juicy burgers!)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 brioche bun, sliced and buttered
1 slice cheddar cheese
Fresh lettuce and tomato slices
Instructions:
Form the ground beef into a patty slightly larger than your bun (it will shrink as it cooks). Indent the center slightly with your thumb to keep it flat.
Heat your cast-iron skillet or grill grate over your campfire or outdoor stove.
Season the patty generously with salt and pepper right before cooking.
Cook the burger for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Add the cheese during the last minute of cooking so it melts perfectly.
Toast your buttered bun on the grill for about 30 seconds.
Assemble your burger: Bun, a generous smear of the secret sauce, lettuce, tomato, the cheesy patty, and the top bun.
