⭐️⭐️⭐️Today I had the honor of meeting who has spent years dedicating his life to collecting stories, recipes and meeting with chefs, farmers and winemakers from Piemonte. As it happens to many of us, he particularly fell in love with Piemonte through the 🍇NEBBIOLO grape! He is such a warm friendly and humble person and I am so thrilled that I got to grab my copy straight from him today over a coffee between his busy schedule. What a pleasure… I can’t wait to devour his book!

☝🏽If you are interested please write me in the comments and I can help hook you up!

👀🫡PS. In the second picture Jeff is showing me that my shoulder is actually in one of the photos at Trediberri😂😂 So I can say I have been published!

This time we are tackling Langhe town names.

Some are easier than others… 😂🍷

Which one would you have gotten wrong?

🌞SUMMER NiGHTS IN PIEMONTE🌞

Gavi and grilled zucchini 🥒

100% Cortese grapes , stainless steel

Area is actually closer to Liguria than Barolo

Did you know that good Gavis can actually age well?

This is a 2022 that is still drinking nicely. Golden straw yellow , notes of slate and tropical fruit at this stage. Medium body, medium acidity, beautiful freshness but with a noce smooth texture on the palate. this was featured in our club a few years ago:)

Have you ever had aged Gavi? Do you even like Gavi?

Ghemme tells a different story than the Langhe.

🏔️Higher altitudes (sub-Alpine)

⛰️Clay, sand and silt with fragmented rocks from a mix of Morainic-alluvial soils

🍇In all of Alto Piemonte in the19th century there were approximately 40,000 hectares of vineyards and today there is only about 1,000! Ghemme has the second most hectares after Gattinara region.

🏅Ghemme was granted DOCG status in 1997

🍒Soils generally have higher acidity resulting in more linear vertical wines with floral and berry aromas

🍷Ghemme is structured yes - but with lift, tension and a certain Alpine elegance. A winethat deserves more attention.

Have you had any Ghemmes yet?

Friday was one of those days that reminds me why I love Piemonte so much. (Thank you .wine )

We tasted a 1958 Barolo - still expressive, still alive - always teaching us patience. Then jumped to the 22 single vineyards - vibrant and fresh.

Had lunch with the sweet talented winemakers of Lalu and tasted their first vintage of Coste di Monforte!😋

Visited Roero and was reminded again how interesting this area is becoming..

Tasted a Roero 2011 under screw cap - proof that anything is possible! It was super youthful!

Piemonte is evolving and it’s thrilling to witness up close and personal!🍷

Spring shipmet coming soon- curious to find other wines that are inspiring lately?

We work hard to source unique wines and older vintages if possible for our members.

Because Barolo is not just about reputation - it’s about timing.

🍷2010 offers evolution and tertiary notes beginning to unfold.
🍷2016 carries precison, tension and a life ahead.

Two phenomenal years, Two completely different experiences.

Which do you think I’d choose to open at my table tonight?🍷You might be surprised!😉
