Merida, Spain.
A city investing in safer, smarter public spaces.
With a total investment of nearly €1.8 million, six neighborhoods have been revitalized through the creation and upgrade of children’s playgrounds, bio-healthy zones, and multi-use recreational areas.
Designed to serve all age groups, from toddlers to older children, these spaces promote inclusion, accessibility, and community wellbeing.
Key project highlights:
• Development of new and expanded playground areas
• Integration of bio-healthy fitness zones
• Installation of shading systems for climate protection
• Upgraded green infrastructure and landscaping
• Focus on safety, sustainability, and user experience
A critical element across all installations is safety paving, ensuring protection against falls while maintaining comfort and performance.
Our REFO PLAY shock pads are part of this foundation, engineered to absorb impact, enhance safety, and support long-lasting, sustainable playgrounds.
Because great cities don’t just build spaces, they build safe experiences.
