From tradition to the vineyard 🍇✨
February and March are key months: this is when new vines are created, starting from grafted cuttings.
�The rootstock, the longer part, comes from American vine, while the graft — the shorter section — is from Vitis vinifera, the one that will produce wine.
After preparation, the two parts are joined using the characteristic omega cut, then sealed with protective wax to safeguard the union and prevent it from drying out.
Once ready, the cuttings are planted in the field: they will root during the summer and, by autumn, they will become “barbatelle” (young vine plants) ready to give life to new vineyards. 🌱
A process of precision, care, and passion… just like every great wine.
Dalla tradizione alla vigna 🍇✨
Febbraio e marzo sono mesi fondamentali: è qui che nascono le nuove viti, a partire dalle talee innestate.
�Il portainnesto, la parte più lunga, è di vite americana, mentre l’innesto – più corto – è di Vitis vinifera, quella che darà origine al vino.
Dopo la preparazione, le due parti vengono unite con il caratteristico taglio a omega, sigillato con cera protettiva per garantire la protezione della giunzione e per far sì che non si disidrati.
Una volta pronte, le talee vengono messe a dimora in campo: radicheranno durante l’estate e, con l’arrivo dell’autunno, diventeranno barbatelle pronte a dare vita a nuovi vigneti. 🌱
Un processo fatto di precisione, cura e passione… proprio come ogni grande vino.
