A creative family run winery since 1911 Since then, over a hundred vintages have gone by, with four generations following one another.

The history of the Bava Family starts in Cocconato, a village that rises steeply up the hillsides of the Monferrato Astigiano. The Bava Family has grown grape vines in this territory since 1600 and in 1911 in the very same area the family built their first wine cellar. The best Bava Barberas are renowned in the world thanks to their high quality. Today, the family estate extends in Monferrato and

Langa, with twenty hectares of natural fields and woods and fifty-five vineyards, cultivated with the same awareness, care and attention of the olden times resulting in a sustainable agriculture with a reduced environmental impact. Walking along the Bava vineyards, you will notice the grass clippings and the prunings used as natual fertilizers, the poles, all strictly made of wood coming from renewable forests or grassing between vine rows, which not only helps prevent soil erosion, but also serves as proof that no hebicides are used.

Anche i grappoli a bacca bianca hanno raggiunto la giusta maturazione e sono pronti ad arrivare in cantina.

I lavori in vigna continuano a Cocconato... 🌱
Dopo aver piantato le barbatelle e spianato i filari, in questo periodo il focus si sposta sulla manutenzione e pulizia quotidiana. Con le temperature in aumento, la priorità è preservare l’umidità del suolo.

After planting the vine cuttings and leveling the rows, the focus now shifts to daily maintenance and upkeep. With temperatures rising, the priority is preserving soil moisture.

A causa del maltempo previsto per sabato 25 luglio, è con grande rammarico che siamo stati costretti ad annullare l’evento in vigna.

La proiezione si sposta nelle nostre cantine storiche, ma per questioni di capienza l’accesso è garantito esclusivamente ai possessori del biglietto dedicato. Ci auguriamo di ritrovarvi presto per le prossime iniziative. 💚🍷✨
