Proud to support Ondo’s first publication, released on the occasion of its inaugural show, Paesaggi Italiani!

Join us on October 5th at 4 PM for the presentation of the first Ondo Agenda, Paesaggi Italiani, edited by and featuring contributions by PhD and Art Historian Giorgio Di Domenico () and architect and curator Jo Rigo ().

The talk will include the artist , Ondo cofounders and , from Sali e Tabacchi Journal, Giorgio Di Domenico, and Jo Rigo, and will be an opportunity to explore themes related to the show.

We’ll be serving local cheese and wine, alongside our own herbal infusions, cider, and (of course!) bread.

Music by Jonnifer (.kollektiv) and Martino Edenn () on the decks from 6 PM

our most well-known and captured olive grove, the one you walk through to reach our events. I have grown to understand the effects of that short 3 minute walk: we never get rude customers, the vibes are always immaculate and people come as strangers and leave as friends. I am sure it’s because of the environment we (me, you, anyone who’s ever been here or collaborated in some capacity) have been fostering, but I believe the majority of the credit is owed to our land. Enveloped by olive trees, guests walk downhill to reach their destination. Being in nature, in motion, walking away from traffic, mundane preoccupations and worries, both physically and metaphorically.

This theory is based on nothing, but also on the belief that most people, when given the chance to be open and receptive and welcoming and forgiving, will be just that.

SCERANDO

Insieme alle api, Gaia ha portato con sé anche una sceratrice solare - la stiamo usando per fondere la cera d’api (= scerare). Esposta in pieno sole, sfrutta il calore dei raggi solari per svolgere il proprio scopo. E date le temperature, il processo è velocissimo.

Unico neo, la cera spesso rimane attaccata alla vasca di raccolta, anche mettendoci acqua… consigli?

Le api di Gaia a Terrafranta - arrivate di notte, qualche centinaio di migliaia di esemplari esplorano in questi giorni il loro nuovo contesto.
