Today, the Kuenburg family proudly carries this heritage into the future, guided by a belief that has always defined Castel Sallegg: Innovation is tradition.

Harvest 2026 is officially complete! 🍇

The last load of grapes has arrived at Castel Sallegg, marking the end of this year's harvest. Following tradition, we celebrated the occasion with a handmade harvest wreath and a well-deserved toast.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing team for their hard work, dedication and passion throughout the season!

While the vineyards are settling into autumn, the work continues in the cellar. We look forward to seeing what the 2026 vintage will bring. 🍷

We are proud and deeply grateful that our Chardonnay Marei 2023 has been awarded Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso — a wonderful recognition for a w**e that is very close to our hearts.

Marei has its roots at Seehof, at 230 metres above sea level, in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kaltern. Here, the vines grow on medium-heavy, humus-rich sandy clay soils over calcareous gravel — a distinctive terroir that shapes the character of this Chardonnay.

A wonderful recognition for a w**e that reflects its origin, its character and the dedication behind every vintage.

This Chardonnay comes from Seehof, at 230 metres above sea level, just above Lake Caldaro. Here, the vines grow on humus-rich sandy clay soils over calcareous gravel, giving Marei its distinctive character.
