Non abbiamo mai visto gerle tra i filari, né muli a portare l’uva, ne abbiamo solo sentito parlare. Oggi, cassette di plastica accatastate, trattori che risalgono i pendii, camion refrigeranti fermi davanti alle case in attesa del carico. Gli attrezzi sono cambiati. Quello che non cambia è chi decide, grappolo per grappolo, quando è il momento. Un gesto che ha sempre lo stesso odore, riconoscibile fra tutti, misto a terra, sudore, fatica.
È lì, in quelle mani, che si ripete ogni vendemmia. Da sempre.

We've never seen gerle baskets among the rows, or mules carrying the grapes—we've only heard about them. Today, it's stacked plastic crates, tractors climbing the slopes, refrigerated trucks stopped in front of the houses waiting for the load. The tools have changed. What doesn't change is who decides, cluster by cluster, when the moment has come. A gesture that always carries the same smell, recognizable among all others, mixed with earth, sweat, and toil.
It's there, in those hands, that every harvest repeats itself. As it always has.

C'è chi conta i filari, chi le gemme, chi semplicemente il tempo che manca alla fine della vendemmia. Andrea qui non è solo l'Amministratore Delegato di Rallo: è un uomo che torna dove tutto è cominciato, tra le vigne che conosce a memoria, riga dopo riga.
Non serve sapere cosa stia contando in questo momento.
Basta guardarlo per capire che sta contando su questa terra, e questa terra su di lui.

La vendemmia non è solo la raccolta delle uve. È il momento più delicato dell’anno, quello in cui i sacrifici di dodici mesi, il lavoro nei filari, l’attesa, la cura di ogni singola pianta si trasformano in speranza.
La speranza che questa possa essere la vendemmia del secolo.
Ogni grappolo raccolto racchiude un anno intero.
E ogni anno, si ricomincia a sperare.

Harvest isn't just about picking grapes. It's the most delicate moment of the year, the one in which twelve months of sacrifice, the work in the rows, the waiting, the care given to every single vine, are transformed into hope.
The hope that this could be the harvest of the century.
Every cluster gathered holds a whole year within it.

La ciminiera storica delle Cantine Rallo, testimone silenziosa dell'epoca in cui il Marsala si faceva col fuoco, prima ancora che col tempo.
L'essenziale è bianco. Ma la storia, a volte, è di mattoni e cielo.
