A Sciaranuova, sull’Etna, Eruzione 1614 Nerello Mascalese nasce su suoli di origine lavica, formati dalla leggendaria colata iniziata nel 1614 e durata dieci anni. È coltivato secondo i criteri della sostenibilità e del biologico, su terre nere in altitudine, per un rosso intenso nei profumi ed elegante nella struttura.
Nello stesso paesaggio, l’installazione di Claire Fontaine dedicata al fisico Ettore Majorana presenta una citazione tratta da La scomparsa di Majorana di Leonardo Sciascia. L’opera si ispira alla vicinanza del luogo alle estati di Majorana e sottolinea il legame tra arte, scienza e territorio.

At Sciaranuova, on Mount Etna, Eruzione 1614 Nerello Mascalese is born on soils of volcanic origin, formed by the legendary lava flow that began in 1614 and lasted ten years. It is cultivated according to the criteria of sustainability and organic farming, on black soils at high altitude, for a red wine that is intense in its aromas and elegant in its structure. In the same landscape, the installation by Claire Fontaine dedicated to the physicist Ettore Majorana presents a quote taken from The Vanishing of Majorana by Leonardo Sciascia. The artwork is inspired by the location's proximity to where Majorana spent his summers and highlights the connection between art, science, and the territory.
