Medium garnet red in colour. Aromas of warm blakberry, blackcurrant, pipe to***co, clove, lead pencil, leather and sweet spice. Bing cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, mint, spiced bitter orange peel and a whiff of chocolate powder. Cool entry, explosive energy, rich fruit core. Agile. Persistent. Linear. Intense. Plenty to say for itself. Great Clarity. vivid acidity vies with fine grained tannins. Savoury, Lingers on the finish

Casanuova delle Cerbaie Brunello di Montalcino 2020 Riserva Vigna Montosoli

Bright ruby red in colour. Aromatics of rose petal, violet and hyacinth florals, mild seet spice, sage, to***co and kirsh. Rainier cherry, plum, blackcurrant, blood orange, dry to***co leaf, white smoke and balsamic notes. Rich on the palate, expands from mid way showing layered finesse and linear intensity. A touch flamboyant. Ample and generous. Vivid but friendly acidity vies with fresh crunchy tannins. Plenty of verve. Long and broad on the finish.

Bold and intense, the expressive palate offers spiced poached plum, black cherry, vanilla and licorice before a mentholated finish. Taut, fine-grained tannins provide support and lend a weightless finesse. Drink 2029–2035. Abv: 14.5%

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO CDC

2021

A solid and structured Brunello with fine

yet muscular tannins that give an

outstanding backbone to the wine. Red

cherry, berry and terra cotta aromas and

flavors lead to a medium body with firm

tannins and a caressing finish. A little

tight at the end, it needs two or three

years to open. Drink after 2027.
