The 2026 harvest began earlier than in recent vintages.

As every year, we started with the vineyards in the southern part of Montalcino, where the warmer climate leads to earlier ripening. From there, the harvest proceeded gradually toward the plots closest to the w**ery, eventually reaching the vineyards at higher altitudes.

Different timings, different characteristics, but a single rule: listening to each vineyard.

On October 2nd, Caparzo will be in Siena for Red Montalcino, the event entirely dedicated to Rosso di Montalcino, now in its fifth edition.

An event to discover and share one of the most authentic expressions of Sangiovese di Montalcino: a w**e capable of combining elegance, freshness, and pleasantness, the expression of a multifaceted terroir.

There is no single Montalcino.

The Caparzo vineyards are located in different areas of the region, with different characteristics, exposures, and conditions.

It is precisely this variety that makes each harvest a complex and fascinating story: each vineyard follows its own rhythm, each parcel has its own moment.

The harvest, after all, never begins entirely on the same day.
