Tenuta Saiano è il progetto agricolo della famiglia Maggioli. L’azienda nasce nel 2003 e si estende oggi per circa 100 ettari di terreno all’ombra della rocca di Montebello, in provincia di Rimini. Sin dal principio abbiamo adottato come solo metodo agronomico una conduzione basata sul rispetto della biodiversità e dell’equilibrio rigenerativo dei nostri suoli e della Natura. Coltiviamo la vite e

l’ulivo, orti stagionali e antiche varietà di alberi da frutto in maniera naturale, ovvero senza l’utilizzo di chimica di sintesi. La coltivazione condivide respiri e spazi con la presenza protettiva del bosco incolto, che rappresenta circa il 50% della superficie aziendale, e con l’allevamento semibrado di alcune specie animali. Un sistema ricco di attori diversi, di cui siamo osservatori e custodi. BUCOLICA WINE GARDEN

We can feel the air has changed since we are moving toward the end of this very challenging winter and enjoying the very first sunny days of 2026. Rain has not stop yet and so have the field works : tying the guyots and waiting the correct moon for pruning Sangiovese vineyards.

WINTER IS REAL THIS YEAR !!
Some beautiful snowy days, very low temperatures and fair amount of rainfall have walked with us while we were pruning the Grechetto and Grenache Noir vineyards.

Almost time to get the plants tied and start with the Sangiovese fields

"PROBLEMS WITH THE RAIN" saga is now available.
Everything we have harvested in 2023 from all the Sangiovese vineyards. Flood has remarkably impacted our yields (70% overall loss) but we are delighted with the quality and the fragilities of those two cuvées.

Useless to say there are few bottles around.

First Autumn lights and we are back in the vineyards.. 2026 vintage has already begun.
Ploughing almost hectares and sowing manually a melliferous mixed cover crops which will help both our fertility and our friends bees.

And so we end harvest 2025. Such a challenging and rewarding vintage. We feel like this season is a deep growth for Saiano and our team, who proves to be more dynamic every year.

É in bottiglia la 2024 di Animo!
Le vigne di Grechetto compiono 10 anni e ci regalano un'annata piuttosto generosa in quantità ma di sottigliezze e dettagli espressivi; probabilmente frutto di piante che iniziano trovare i propri equilibri.
