Oggi piove e ci dedichiamo ad assaggi di bottiglie impolverate per capire come sono andate le annate calde degli anni scorsi e capire anche cosa possiamo aspettarci da questa nuova annata:
Pinot Grigio 2022 è in perfetta forma, quindi nell’arco dei 5 anni sicuramente non temiamo nulla, anzi!
Pinot Grigio 2012 assolutamente bevibile ma qui iniziamo a percepire il tempo, quindi possiamo dire che i nostri bianchi più semplici i 10 anni li tengono bene, ma non esagererei oltre!
Pinot Grigio 2009 causa anche un tappo poco performante è ormai molto stanco ma non è da buttare.
Quindi per l’annata 2026 credo avremo almeno una decina di anni di tempo per bercela tutta … e dovrebbe bastarci 😉
Today it’s raining, so we’re taking the opportunity to taste a few dusty old bottles, to see how some of the warmer vintages from the past have evolved and also to get an idea of what we might expect from this new vintage.
Pinot Grigio 2022 is in perfect shape, so within the first five years we certainly have nothing to worry about , quite the opposite!
Pinot Grigio 2012 is still absolutely enjoyable, although here we are beginning to feel the passage of time. So we can say that even our more straightforward whites age very well for around 10 years, but I probably wouldn’t push them much further!
Pinot Grigio 2009, also due to a cork that didn’t perform particularly well, is now quite tired, but still not one to pour down the drain.
So, for the 2026 vintage, I’d say we’ll have at least ten years to drink it all… and that should be more than enough time 😉
