One of the biggest problems in Nigeria is insecurity, yet many people still underestimate its severity.
Reports from the Oyo school kidnapping incident show some of the captives pleading with the Federal Government not to use force in rescue operations because the terrorists had already seen videos circulating online. This raises serious concerns about how sensitive information is handled during security crises.
Nigeria must do better in protecting its citizens and managing security operations. The safety of innocent people should always come first.
