Another day of harvest at Villa Cosmiana! After Chardonnay, it’s time for Merlot.

Merlot plays a crucial role at the Villa: it is the foundation of our Super Tuscan Principessa Maria, awarded a Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025, and an essential ingredient that enriches our Super Tuscan Duca Amerigo and our Chianti Fattore Crelio.
This year, the berries are small, perfectly ripe and wonderfully concentrated. For all our red wines, 2026 promises to be a particularly intense and full-bodied vintage. However patience will be required. The wines need time to develop and reveal their full character. Nothing will be ready before the beginning of 2029, but the wait will be worth it...

Producing a great wine is a little like creating a family recipe, complete with its preparation secrets and undisclosed ingredients.
This Chardonnay is our little secret ingredient—the final touch that completes our barrel-vinified white wine, Fattoressa Maddalena, making it an elegant wine capable of winning medals at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles!
And now, our secret ingredient has reached perfect maturity. We start harvesting this very morning!
A fine vintage is about to begin…

Our barricaia is a true jewel of Neo-Classical architecture, carved into the hillside around 1850 by the renowned Florentine architect Giuseppe Poggi, surrounding an ancient wine cellar.
Even today, the temperature inside never rises above 20°C (68°F), and the humidity is actually lower than outside.
If this heatwave keeps going, I might just move my bed down there and sleep among the barrels!

Your Afro-Brazilian-New York jazz repertoire was a firework of elegance and subtlety; your voice, a velvet caress on the pillow at nightfall. And your musicians—your musicians—were true virtuosos.

Do you remember James, the Manchester indie rock band from the late '80s?
Come on... remember? Sit Down! Sit Down!
Well, they played a fabulous concert in our little town of Peccioli last night, and afterwards they were all at Villa Cosmiana — Tim, Jim, Saul, Mark, David, and the girls...
A real culture shock on both sides, and a wonderful encounter for everyone.
