Poggio Amorelli
For those that want a panoramic rooftop wine tastings, traditional farm-to-table meals overlooking rolling hills.
Was one of those places where everything came together—spectacular vineyard views, outstanding food, exceptional wines, and owners who made us feel like part of the family. By the end of lunch, it felt less like a wine tasting and more like spending an afternoon with old friends.

Il Molino di Grace
Want to experience organic winemaking, view monumental outdoor sculptures, and tour vineyards with a 350-year history
Walking into Il Molino di Grace felt more like visiting a passionate family estate than a commercial winery. The peaceful vineyards, thoughtful tasting, and genuine hospitality made every glass memorable, and we left wishing we had planned to stay longer.

Casa Emma Winery
For those looking for that small home feel enjoy your tastings and casual meals on a bright patio overlooking the rolling hills and grapevine
Casa Emma perfectly captured everything we love about Tuscany—rolling vineyards, authentic Chianti Classico, and warm, unhurried hospitality. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of Sangiovese, it was easy to forget about time and simply enjoy the beauty surrounding us.

Castello di Volpaia

Exploring Castello di Volpaia felt like stepping into a medieval village where every stone has a story to tell. Between the historic streets, outstanding wines, and unforgettable hospitality, it quickly became one of the most unique winery experiences of our entire Tuscany journey

Mid Chianti feels like the center of the story. The roads become narrower, the hills rise and fall more dramatically, and every turn seems to reveal another vineyard, another old farmhouse, or another view worth stopping for.

This is where Chianti begins to feel more intimate. The towns are smaller, the pace slows down, and the wineries often feel tucked into the folds of the landscape. It is still approachable, but it rewards travelers who enjoy wandering, exploring, and letting the road decide part of the day.

Radda, Castellina, Gaiole, and Volpaia each bring a slightly different personality to the region. Together, they create one of the most beautiful and atmospheric parts of Chianti

Viticcio Winery was one of those wineries where the experience became much more than simply tasting wine. Viticcio Winery is one of those wineries that captures what we love about staying and tasting in Chianti: beautiful vineyards, excellent wine, welcoming people, and a location that makes you want to slow down and enjoy Tuscany rather than simply check another winery off the list.

One of the biggest surprises for me was the wine cellar. It was absolutely beautiful—modern, polished and meticulously designed while still feeling connected to the traditional winemaking of Chianti. One recent visitor described the renovated cellar as almost like a “jewelry box for wine,” and after seeing it,

Viticcio is also somewhere we will be staying soon. The agriturismo sits among vineyards and olive trees with beautiful views and a swimming pool, yet Greve is only minutes away. Guests consistently praise the peaceful setting, pool, accommodations and hospitality.

For me, Viticcio brought together everything I want from a Northern Chianti winery—great wine, an amazing cellar, passionate people, beautiful vineyards and a place where you could easily settle in and make yourself at home for a few days.

Castello Vicchiomaggio Castello Vicchiomaggio

Castello di VerrazzanoCastello di Verrazzano

Visit for ancient cellars, exceptional Chianti Classico wines, and scenic castle grounds
The drive alone was beautiful, but the tour, food, wine, and history made Verrazzano one of the strongest Chianti experiences.

Luiano WineLuiano

The Staff and Beautiful Vistas will keep bringing us back...One the few wineries that have Amorphous wine
The beautiful vistas and authentic Tuscan countryside. Enjoy the fact that it is a working, family-owned estate rather than an overly commercialized corporate operation. The staff diserves glowing reviews for being passionate, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

Viticcio WineryViticcio

The wine cellar alone is worth the visit. Also amazing vista views inside and out.

Restaurants in Northern Chianti Not to miss

Antica Macelleria Cecchini
Why eat here... simple legendary Florentine steaks and charismatic eighth-generation butcher Dario Cecchini,
Dinner here isn't just about eating—it's entertainment. Dario Cecchini's passion for food is contagious, and the entire experience feels more like joining a celebration than visiting a restaurant. If you're a steak lover, this belongs on your itinerary.

Ristoro di Lamole
Best sunset in Tuscany. Mountain background and unbelievable art.
The drive alone is worth the visit. Perched high above the vineyards, the panoramic views stretch for miles across Chianti. We found ourselves slowing down here, enjoying every course while taking in the scenery. Last time we were there the Carbonara Risotto was the highlight of our eating out.

La Cantinetta di Rignana
If your looking for classic Tuscan dining experience with stunning vineyard views, and traditional regional cuisin
Hidden among vineyards, this feels like discovering a local secret. It's peaceful, surrounded by classic Tuscan landscapes, and the outdoor seating creates one of the most relaxing lunches you'll find in Chianti.

Officina della Bistecca
Looking for that communal dining, and world-class Florentine steak
If Tuscany had a temple dedicated to Florentine steak, this would be it. The communal tables, nonstop service, and incredible cuts of beef make this one of the most memorable dining experiences in the region.

Enoteca Baldi
To experience an extensive wine list in a charming Tuscan piazza
This is the perfect stop when you want great local wines without an elaborate meal. The knowledgeable staff happily recommend pairings, making it an excellent place to discover smaller Chianti producers.

Osteria di Passignano
Looking for the Elegant evening in a historic Chianti setting next to a medieval abbey, and exclusive Antinori wine pairing
A Michelin-recognized restaurant tied to the Antinori family in the heart of Chianti Classico
