Domaines de Demain – The final episode

Eight generations. Twenty dormant years.

We speak to Carine Riccobono, owner of Domaine des Perchés in Cadillac-sur-Garonne, about reviving her family's abandoned vineyard alongside her son Marius – and doing it her way: "We'll break with the norms of Bordeaux, make a wine that reflects us, and gain our freedom."

Carine talks us through what she calls a "maternal" approach to viticulture, the art that runs through every corner of the estate, and her vision for an estate of the future – "an artist's studio... where everything is a masterpiece."

The last episode of the new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux's most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés and Lafleur.

Domaines de Demain – Episode 5

In 2025, Lafleur left the Pomerol appellation – and made headlines doing it.

We speak to Baptiste Guinaudeau, who runs the estate alongside his wife, Julie, about why that's not a departure at all: "We have never felt more Pomerolais."

Baptiste talks us through the "data sandwich" behind every decision at Lafleur, and the radical water strategy now shaping the estate's future – all in the name of preserving a singularity that's remained unchanged on this same, 4.5-hectare plot since the beginning.

Fifth in a new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux's most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés and Lafleur.

Domaines de Demain – Episode 4

The only château inside the city of Bordeaux: Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

We speak to Guillaume Pouthier, Managing Director and winemaker at the estate, about the technique he brought with him in 2012 that had rarely been seen in the region: whole-cluster infusion instead of extraction.
Guillaume shares his thoughts on infusion versus extraction, who Bordeaux wines are appealing to today, and how precise water management shapes the character of a truly great vintage.

Named France’s Best Winemaker by Le Figaro Vin in 2023, Guillaume has also overseen the estate’s striking new Philippe Starck-designed winery – where function meets elegance.

Fourth in a new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux’s most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés and Lafleur.

Domaines de Demain – Episode 3

14 years ago, Château Latour left La Place de Bordeaux.

We speak to Jean Garandeau, Sales and Marketing Director at Château Latour, about the decision to leave the en primeur system behind in 2012 – releasing wines only once they've reached maturity, not before.

Jean talks us through the rationale behind trading immediacy for patience, what the change has meant for négociants, sommeliers, and collectors, and his vision for the future of the estate – "first and foremost, a story of people."

Third in a new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux's most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés, and Lafleur.

Domaines de Demain – Episode 2

Can a Sauternes estate lead the way for dry whites in Bordeaux?

For the second instalment of the series, Ella meets Pierre Montégut, Technical Director of Château Suduiraut. For over 20 years he’s broken the conventions of the Sauternes region, producing serious, terroir-driven dry whites built around a committed belief in Sémillon.

Pierre talks us through why he’s so invested in dry Bordeaux whites, the grape variety that once built Bordeaux’s reputation for white wine, and how a new sub-appellation could help consumers identify the origins of these wines.

Part of a new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux’s most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés, and Lafleur.

Domaines de Demain – Episode 1

What does the future of Bordeaux look like, according to the people shaping it?

Our founder and CEO, Ella Lister, put that question to Jean Triaud of Château Saint-Pierre – the Fourth Growth Saint-Julien estate his family has owned since 1982, tracing its roots back to the 17th century.

Jean talks us through the new visual identity built around the estate’s keys, the move to organic farming, and why the 1855 Classification still matters – all while staying true to where Saint-Pierre came from.

First in a new series from , in conversation with some of Bordeaux’s most respected names: Saint-Pierre, Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Suduiraut, Latour, Domaine des Perchés and Lafleur.

Carb-loading has evolved.

Rooted in community, crafted with patience – Santa Julia was the perfect match for ’s launch party, in collaboration with and 🍷

After several years of working with Sebastián Zuccardi, we had the pleasure of collaborating with his sister, Julia Zuccardi, to introduce her natural wines to London’s emerging community of food- and wine-loving marathon runners – proof that balance – preferably New – is key.
