All’arrivo, le uve vengono scaricate, raffreddate e pressate a freddo.

🍇 What happens when the grapes arrive at our w**ery?

A new stage begins.

Once they arrive, the grapes are unloaded, chilled and gently cold-pressed. The liquid is then separated from the skins and left to rest for at least 24 hours, allowing us to obtain the free-run must.

Before fermentation begins, another essential element comes into play.

Over the years, we have carried out extensive scientific research to isolate and select indigenous yeast strains directly from our vineyards along the Tagliamento river.
These native yeasts are what allow us to fully express the character of our terroir and naturally initiate the fermentation process.

👀 But the journey doesn’t end here.
Keep following us to discover what happens after fermentation.

👀 Cosa succede a quel punto?
Continua a seguirci per scoprirlo.

🚜 From the vineyard to the w**ery, every minute counts.

With mechanical harvesting, we can cover large areas in a very short time, harvesting up to one hectare in just one hour.

🍇 The close proximity of our vineyards allows us to minimise transport times and bring the grapes to the w**ery quickly, preserving their freshness.

During harvest, speed is not just about efficiency. It is also about taking care of the grapes, from the moment they are picked until they arrive at the w**ery.

👀 What happens next?

-

✂️ This is how we harvest by hand: scissors, bunches, and crates.

Hand harvesting is a choice we reserve for selected productions, especially grapes destined for drying.

It takes more time and care, but it allows us to select each bunch directly in the vineyard.

We use small crates and never overfill them, so the weight doesn’t crush the grapes or cause the must to start fermenting too soon.

And anything that doesn’t make the cut stays in the vineyard. Only what we have carefully selected makes it to the w**ery.

But if the hand is in charge here, what happens when the machine takes over?

👀 We’ll find out in the next episode.

Pitars backstage with every artist at the Pordenone Blues & Co. Festival — a line-up that brought names like Skin of Skunk Anansie, Keanu Reeves with Dogstar, Goran Bregović, and Subsonica to the city this summer.

Also with us, Andrea Mizzau, the festival's Creative Director. Over 170 artists, more than 50,000 attendees, and our w**es present through every moment of this exchange.

This is another part of how we stay close to the land: welcoming those who come from far away as if they'd always been part of it.

Friuli Venezia Giulia opens up to the world not only through its w**e, but also through its major cultural events — and the Pordenone Blues & Co. Festival proves it every summer.

If events like these showcase a city with the ability to reach beyond its borders, Pordenone's designation as Italian Capital of Culture 2027 is the natural next step of a journey that begins at the heart of its community, its culture, and the people who shape it every day.

The more layered a dish is, the more our Pinot Grigio reveals its character.

Fresh, savoury and beautifully rounded, our Pinot Grigio pairs effortlessly with dishes where flavours and textures come together in perfect balance.

At Antica Trattoria Vigna, it is served alongside the Spring Trilogy: mini brioche topped with hand-cut veal tartare and potato crisps, sautéed dandelion greens, whipped robiola cheese and crispy onion.

Its vibrant freshness and delicate minerality enhance the tenderness of the veal, complement the creamy robiola and balance the subtle bitterness of the dandelion, allowing every ingredient to express its own character.

Freshness, savoury depth and delicate herbal notes. Which w**e brings them into perfect balance?

At Antica Trattoria Vigna, the Nettle Tortelloni with Cacio e Pepe and toasted almond flakes combine rich creaminess, savoury character and subtle vegetal notes in a dish that finds its ideal match in Ribolla Gialla.

Its delicate floral and fruit aromas, vibrant citrus freshness and crisp, dry finish enhance every flavour with elegance, complementing the dish without ever overpowering it.

The same balance shines alongside Turbot served with zucchini cream, zucchini blossoms and Bourbon vanilla confit tomatoes, confirming Ribolla Gialla's remarkable versatility at the table and its ability to elevate very different dishes with equal finesse.
