Sardinia is full of legends! Marisella, our local shopkeeper, told me this morning of the legend of the Baratz Lake. It's the only natural lake in Sardinia and part of our view here at The Citrus Grove - a lovely spot for a walk and bird watching! She also told me that decades ago it was full of carp and people used to swim there but not anymore. Found this little video about the legend!

Arguably one of the best pastas! For us anyway. He can’t go more than 2-3 days without pasta and I need a regular potato fix so we both love culurgiones… in tomato sauce or just tossed with garlic infused olive oil and some grated pecorino 😋

Damn those lil piggies! the wild boar were in my garden again last night. Woke up to find one of my flowerbeds completely dug up and overturned. My beautiful rose that I'd just moved and about to flower lying on its side. My little lemon tree which i recently transplanted after 4 years in a pot tossed to the side. A new lavender bush trampled. I rebuilt the wall and replanted everything I could find. Fingers crossed! Now, sitting down for a first breakfast of coffee and some yummy new biscuits! ahhhhh Life is pretty good despite those f£$% piglets
