Here I am, sharing my very first article about food and Italian identity.

Many of you know me through cooking, but another great passion of mine is culture — writing about Italy, our traditions, our language, and the way our country is perceived abroad.

In this article, published in the food magazine I Dodici Ghiotti, I reflect on the sound of our language, on “Italian sounding”, and on how important it is to protect the authentic identity behind our food and culture.

For my English-speaking friends, I’m also preparing an English version of the article and will share it very soon

Thank you to and for giving me the space to share this.

Butternut squash and gorgonzola risotto, prepared during the gluten-free evening at Lairmont, Washington.
Always remember that risotto is a wonderful alternative to pasta and also a great option for a delicious gluten-free dish.

But making a really good risotto is not as easy as it may seem… there are a few important steps to follow in order to get the perfect creamy texture and a well-balanced flavor.

If you didn’t attend the cooking classes at Lairmont, you can still contact me and we can prepare it together online!

I’m also sharing a few photos taken during this beautiful stay in the United States, which gave me the chance to meet so many wonderful people, all truly interested in food, cooking, and Italian culture.

I would love to meet you again and also get to know new people. That is one of the things I love most about Italian cuisine: its ability to bring people together. ❤️

Our last cooking class at Lairmont… another wonderful evening filled with great energy, curiosity, and amazing people—interested not only in Italian food, but also in my language and culture. That makes me incredibly happy, because learning a language is such a beautiful (and meaningful) journey. Thank you all for making this experience truly unforgettable! ❤️🇮🇹✨

Another wonderful cooking class in the Bellingham area! 🇮🇹
We were welcomed today into a stunning Ferndale home and honestly, hosting a class at home makes the experience even more special.

If you’ve been thinking: “This would be so fun at my place…”, you’re right 😉
Message me to host a class and I’ll take care of everything (menu + shopping + cooking together + lots of tips!). 🍷🍝

I’m preparing for the beginning of my cooking classes at Lairmont Manor, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Every detail is coming together with care and intention, because for me this is not just about cooking — it’s about creating a meaningful experience.

I truly look forward to meeting new people who are interested in discovering authentic Italian cuisine, not only as a collection of recipes, but as culture, tradition, connection, and wellbeing.
Food, for me, is identity. It is memory. It is sharing. It is a way of taking care of ourselves and of others.

Thanks to Anastasha Miles for making this happen and to my sister Patrizia Ciappi who is helping me with organization and music!

We still have a few spots available. If you would like to join us, please feel free to send me a private message for more information.

Tonight I’m making comfort food: a homemade vegetable minestrone, rich in vitamins and minerals. Made with carrot, onion, celery, savoy cabbage and Swiss chard.

And here I am, fulfilling a dream of mine… graduating 🎓
A journey that began many years ago but was never completed.
Now, working with people from all over the world and having the chance to talk about Italian culture through food, this dream has become even more concrete.

Linguistic and Cultural Mediation is the degree that gave me the tools to learn a method of teaching and studying, and to explore a fascinating world surrounding Italian cuisine.
I’m sharing with you the title of my thesis and a few pages that summarize the meaning of this work.

I’d love to know what you think!
And from next week… back to cooking again!!!! 🥘👩🏻‍🍳🍝
