Since 1349 and for 23 generations we are w**e producers, vine growers and earth lovers in Siena.

Bindi Sergardi W**ery is a family estate settled in the heart of Tuscany, in the province of Siena. With a history that dates back to 1349, the family’s credo of authenticity, integrity and audacity is reflected in the high quality of their Chianti Classico, Chianti Colli Senesi and Chianti produced in three estates: Mocenni, I Colli and Marcianella. Today, after 23 generations, Nicolo’ and his daughter Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi carry on the family tradition of strong dedication and passionate daily care with full respect of the blessings of nature.

Our Thanks to Antonio Galloni, who awarded 94 points to Mocenni 91, Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage 2021 - Mocenni Estate. "A gorgeous w**e, the 2021 offers up tons of varietal character in a rich, heady style that is quite attractive. Blackberry, sage, menthol, licorice, chocolate and grilled herbs are all dialed up. This Tuscan Cabernet delivers the goods big time."

"Un vino splendido, il 2021 offre una grande espressione del carattere varietale, in uno stile ricco e intenso, davvero molto piacevole. Mora, salvia, mentolo, liquirizia, cioccolato ed erbe grigliate emergono con grande evidenza. Questo Cabernet toscano è davvero all’altezza delle aspettative."

After an early start to the harvest, every bunch begins its journey from the vineyard to the w**ery.
Hand-harvested and carefully selected in the vineyard, only the grapes that meet our standards make their way to the cellar, where the next chapter begins.

Dopo un inizio anticipato, ogni grappolo inizia il suo viaggio dalla vigna alla cantina.
Raccolte a mano e attentamente selezionate in vigna, solo le uve che rispondono ai nostri standard proseguono il loro percorso in cantina, dove ha inizio un nuovo capitolo.

Sabato 29 agosto, a Tenuta Mocenni, abbiamo ospitato i produttori del nostro territorio per un momento di confronto. Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi ha aperto l’incontro introducendo la conversazione dedicata al nostro territorio e al modo in cui possiamo raccontarne l’identità.

Danielle Callegari, writer-at-large di W**e Enthusiast per la Toscana e il Sud Italia e docente di Italian Studies al Dartmouth College, in dialogo con Filippo Bartolotta, ha offerto una riflessione sul rapporto tra il mercato americano e il valore dell’identità culturale del Chianti Classico.

A partire dal suo libro A Bite-Sized History of Italy, Danielle ha condiviso nuovi spunti su come vino, cultura e territorio possano intrecciarsi in un racconto capace di attraversare i confini.

On Saturday, August 29, at Tenuta Mocenni, we welcomed producers from our region for an opportunity to come together and exchange ideas. Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi opened the event, introducing a conversation about our territory and how we can communicate its unique identity.

Danielle Callegari, writer-at-large for Tuscany and Southern Italy at W**e Enthusiast and Professor of Italian Studies at Dartmouth College, joined Filippo Bartolotta in a conversation exploring the American market and the value of Chianti Classico’s cultural identity.

Drawing on her book A Bite-Sized History of Italy, Danielle shared new perspectives on how w**e, culture, and place can come together to create a story that reaches across borders.
