Bindi Sergardi Winery is a family estate settled in the heart of Tuscany, in the province of Siena. Alberese is one of the most valuable elements in the soils of Mocenni.
Together with galestro, it forms the geological foundation of our vineyards, though in proportions that vary from parcel to parcel.
It is precisely this variability, this unique balance between alberese and galestro, that gives character to our crus: each vineyard reveals a different nuance of the territory, and each wine expresses its own distinctive personality.

L’alberese è uno degli elementi più preziosi del sottosuolo di Mocenni. Accanto al galestro, compone la base geologica delle nostre vigne, ma in proporzioni diverse da parcella a parcella. È proprio questa variabilità, questo equilibrio unico tra alberese e galestro, a dare carattere ai nostri cru: ogni vigneto racconta una sfumatura diversa del territorio, ogni vino esprime una personalità propria.

Bruce Sanderson, Senior Editor of Wine Spectator, during Vinitaly, led an Opera Wine workshop exploring the 2016 Chianti Classico vintage through a retrospective tasting over time.

We presented our Gran Selezione, Mocenni 89, as Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi remarked:
“it represents a broader journey that both Bindi Sergardi and the entire Chianti Classico denomination have undertaken over the past decades.
It is a journey with deep roots—from 1716, with the first delimitation of the territory, to 1924, with the creation of Italy’s first wine Consortium. Even in the past 20 years, our Etruscan heritage has continued to guide a forward-looking vision".

Gran Selezione Mocenni 89 showed longevity, balance, precision, and energy—offering a clear expression of how this vintage continues to evolve with harmony and depth over time.
