Blossom season is behind us, and the olives are here!

Tiny little fruits are appearing all over the grove. This is such an exciting time of year for us, but nerve-wracking too ...

For now, everything is perfect. Now we just need everything to stay perfect until it's time to harvest this October...

The Most depressing sight.

After a stormy night, the ground under our olive trees is covered in fallen olive blossom.

Right now, it is blowing a gale, and the heavy rain is turning into hail as another storm passes through.
This is THE WORST weather for us during the flowering season.
Please keep your fingers crossed for us...

FYI .... we will be closed from Wednesday 20 May until Wednesday 10 June inclusive.

Want to see the grove in spring? It's a fabulous time to visit us, as the olive trees are in full blossom, it's really beautiful here right now!

We still have limited availability on tours before our closure, including Friday 15 May, Saturday 16 May (morning only), and Sunday 17 May (morning only).

Happy First Olive Flower of Spring Day!

Olives are wind pollinated, so the trees don't waste their energy on big, fragrant blooms.

Now we cross fingers, toes, and everything else for a nice, gentle spring with no hail storms...

I can't bear watching my neighbours burn their olive prunings.

After pruning, we mulch the branches and leaves to restore nutrients to the soil, instead of burning them, filling the air with filthy smoke and wasting that goodness.
