These 5 days were a real rollercoaster for us. When a calf is born this weak, you drop everything and just do whatever it takes to help him pull through. There were a few moments we weren't sure if he'd make it.
Seeing him finally strong enough to drink from his mom is the best reward we could possibly ask for.
This is the unfiltered side of the Obersteinerhof.
Now we can finally say: Welcome to the world, little Bendt! ❤️

Handmade lilac syrup! Catching the scent of spring and saving it for the rest of the year.
In spring, when I step out of the house I am greeted by this most beautful lilac scent. This year, I finally found a way to preserve it. Bottling flowers, from the garden straight into the glass.

Handcrafted wood and natural warmth. The modern, wooden interiors of our holiday flats make them such a cosy space to be. I love how the light fills the rooms in the mornings. ☀️ Take a deep breath and you can smell the scent of the forest.

At least as cosy as our hens' nests.... But with a lot more luxury! With their warm wooden walls and big, bright windows the bedrooms in our holiday apartments are designed for ultimate comfort. The Obersteinerhof nursery is officially open! 🐣

We’ve got a real family operation in the coop this year. Our Piesi, last year’s baby, is now this year’s mama, sitting right alongside her own mother.

One egg for us, and a whole lot of magic happening underneath. 🤩 The countdown is on! Check back in three weeks to see how this family operation turns out.

This year we traded store-bought dyes for what nature gifts us. Onion skin, dandelions, beetroot and red cabbage went into our pots. Taking out the finished eggs was absolutely magical and very surprising. It's been such a cool experience for the kids (and honestly, even more for the adults). It's officialy our new favourite tradition - can't wait for next Easter! 🐣
