Sunday lunch at home: pumpkin, radicchio, speck and sage quiche… with a thin and baked until crunchy puff pastry, to make everything easy.
There is something comforting about sweet and creamy baked pumpkin spiced with just a few local ingredients, it sort of gives you an almost magical warm glow, especially after a period of a grey and rainy weather.

Contrary to my previously held opinion that radicchio could only be used in savoury dishes, I’ve recently learned that in Veneto is not the case.

It’s rather grey and not so summery anymore (at least at the moment), so we are having Bread and Butter Pudding, with cinnamon, some grated grapefruit zest and spiced with “drunken raisins”. I used home baked challah, which turns beautifully golden and crisp on top whilst still deliciously soft and moist (soaked in the custard) in the middle. Perhaps the most comforting pudding I can think 💫 Both recipes can be found on the blog xx🇵🇱 Nadeszło kilka szarych chłodniejszych dni (chwilowo lato zniknęło), ale w domu delektujemy się ciepłym Bread and Butter Pudding (zapiekany chleb w słodkiej masie), smak podbity cynamonem, skórka grejpfruta (czasem pomarańczy) oraz “pijanymi rodzynkami”. To chyba najbardziej przytulny, nasączony ciepłem i pachnący domem pudding. Do przepisu wykorzystałam kromki chałki, która jest miękka i soczysta w środku a chrupka i złota na wierzchu.
