So… this is the red we were talking about. 🍷

W**E FACT #1
No, we haven’t become tomato growers. 🍅

But there’s a reason tomatoes are here.

For decades, Italy was known for producing more red w**e than white. Today, the balance has shifted — with sparkling w**es, Prosecco above all, playing a major role.

Tomatoes, meanwhile, remain one of Italy’s most iconic crops.

So… why don’t red w**e & tomatoes always get along?

🍅 Tomatoes are naturally high in acidity.
🍷 Tannins can clash with that acidity, making a w**e feel harsher, more bitter or even slightly metallic.

But here’s the twist: some reds can handle the acidity beautifully. 👀

And one of them is about to enter the story. 🍷
