Michaela Morris is an international wine writer and educator. She was one of the first certified Italian Wine Experts through Vinitaly International Academy in 2015.

Michaela also holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma and has worked in various aspects of the industry, including importation, retail and fine dining. She is the Regional Chair for Piedmont at Decanter World Wine Awards.

Founder of Drinks Insider, an editorial platform that analyses the forces reshaping the global wine industry from public-health politics to new markets to changing consumer behaviour.

Felicity is also Editorial Director of Areni Global, the fine wine think tank headquartered in London, and a guest lecturer at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town.

Previously, she was founding Executive Editor of The Drop at Pix, editorial consultant for Liv-ex, and Editor in Chief of Meininger’s Wine Business International, which she built into the world’s premier business publication, with subscribers in 38 countries. Her work has appeared in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald newspapers in Australia, and in The Guardian US, among many others.

She has given keynotes on global trends, wine tourism and wine and health policy in New York, Verona, London, Hong Kong and at many other conferences. Felicity has judged wine competitions in Germany, Georgia, Verona, Portugal, France and Luxembourg. She was named a 2024 Industry Leader by WineBusiness Monthly and won the 67 Pall Mall Global Communicators Award for Audio in 2025.

Jeff Porter is another voice we’re excited to welcome to .

He joins the Wine Enthusiast tasting team as the second new taster for Italy and covers wines for Piedmont, Veneto, Northeast Italy, Lombardy, Northwest Italy, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, and Umbria. His sommelier career began in Napa Valley working at Tra Vigne Ristorante.

He joined the Bastianich Hospitality Group in 2009 at Osteria Mozza under the auspice of James Beard Award-winning chef Nancy Silverton. Porter then served as the Wine Director at Del Posto Ristorante in NYC and grew to be the Beverage Operations Director for the company. In 2019, he filmed a travel docuseries, "Sip Trip" and began a consulting business.

Helping clients create beverage lists and elevate service standards, Porter’s roster includes Hometown BBQ, Red Hook Tavern, the ecoresort Casa di Langa in the Langhe region of Piedmont, and the Barclays Center, home to the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty.

We can’t wait to hear his perspective in New York this October. 🚀
