First two beds are made in the field and they’re looking GREAT! 👍🏼

It was definitely a joint family effort! We’re very excited to get some planting done outside in the beds very soon🌱🌱🌱

There’s also lots of new growth coming through on our bulbs and tubers. They’ll remain in their pots for a few months before being planted outside 🌿🌿🌿

Next steps are finishing all the beds in the tunnel so all tunnel crops can be planted ✅

First crops is the ground! French beans, sunflowers and lots and lots of sweet peas 🌱🌱🌱

It’s VERY exciting to finally have our first set of crops in the ground for 2026. We decided quite late in the season that we wanted to start growing again this year, so we’re a bit behind in the sowing and planting schedule. But hopefully with lots of planning and organizing this year, we can definitely get ahead for the next season of growing 💌

First bed is built and couldn’t be prouder! 💪🏽

Following on from our first year on the farm we are doing no dig market garden beds throughout the farm. Starting with the tunnel and then into field.

We are using recycled cardboard to suppress the weeds before covering with a thick layer of broken down green waste to plant into. We ensure the cardboard is watered well to bring on the composition process quicker. We will eventually be using wood chip along the pathways 🌱🌱🌱

If you know any local businesses that have large sheets of cardboard like the image above, please send them our way! ♻️

Our seedlings in the morning sun 🌞

We absolutely love this time in the season as there is so much going on!

Our first sowings are nearly ready to be planted, second and third sowings are starting to come through, and we have been busy the last week transplanting 150 seedlings into bigger pots to grow on 🌱🌱🌱

Next big task is getting our beds prepped and ready 💪🏽

Might be one of our favorite jobs on the farm!

Releasing all the butterflies from inside the polytunnels 🦋🦋🦋

Quick update, all the seedlings are growing really nicely, some are very close to needing to be transplanted into bigger pots! 🌱🌱🌱

The first crops to be planted out will be our Sweetpeas, sunflowers and French beans. 🫛🌻

We have decided to focus on flowers this year but are also growing some veggies alongside them. Tunnel is busy being prepped, and we have currently covered part of the field in plastic to suppress the weeds before making our beds. It’s definitely go go go!

The Bees loving our rosemary that’s currently in flower ( & the bird song in the background!) 🐝

One of the best things of working on the farm is getting to be so close to nature everyday! Looking forward to more of this as the season develops 🌱🌱🌱

Another one of our projects has been building a new Hot Box for our early sowings 🔥

We repurposed this fridge as the insulated walls and door was perfect for what we needed! We simply added the thermostat and air heater to keep the air temperature just right for the early germination 🌱🌱🌱

It’s exciting to finally be making use of the projects we’ve been busy completing! ✨

One of the big projects we undertook over the past few years was designing and building our new propagation bench ✨

We’re trialing a new method of using wet sand to evenly transfer the heat from the cables that run along the bottom. So far so good as signs of germination are already happening! 🌱🌱🌱

We’re the first generation of farmers in our family so we’re completely learning on the job! We love testing out new methods and seeing what works best for us as a small team.

We’re excited to see our first lot of seedlings coming through, soon to be ready to plant out! 🪴🪴🪴

Hey! It’s definitely been a while since we have posted on here, so we wanted to give a quick update from us at Bloom’n Goodness 😊

We have taken a few years off from growing to focus on re-building our pollytunnels ( majority of them were destroyed in storm ciaran) and improving the flow of the farm, especially the propagation tunnel and other important areas.

Jamie has been vey busy building us a new and improved fridge and keeping the farm in top shape ✨

A few of our tunnels are being rented out too Ollie and his team at who have been growing Organic veggies for their veg box scheme, so the soil has been put to good use! 🌱

After taking a few years out to re-build the farm and focus on our little family, we have decided that we’re ready to start growing again ( which we are VERY excited about!) 😊

Now as a team of three! We look forward to updating you as the season goes on 🌱🌱🌱
