Last evening at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Samory I unveiled his new album ” in what can only be described as a deeply moving and emotional night.
With honesty and vulnerability, he spoke openly of the struggles, pain and mental anguish he endured along his journey revealing how, through darkness and uncertainty, he was able to rediscover his own self worth and purpose through music.
It was a powerful reminder that some of the greatest art is born from life’s hardest battles.
Surrounded by supporters, friends and members of the cultural community, Samory I gave heartfelt thanks to all those who stood beside him and helped bring this remarkable body of work to life. The room was filled not only with music, but with emotion, gratitude and triumph.
