BAGTOWN COFFEE
BAGTOWN COFFEE

[Hiroshima’s BAGTOWN COFFEE Goes Global! First International Pop-up at Mori Market Taipei!]
Hello to everyone in Hiroshima, Taipei, and all over the world!
We are BAGTOWN COFFEE, a specialty coffee roaster from Hiroshima, Japan.
We are beyond thrilled to announce our very first overseas event! We can’t wait to meet you all at Mori Market in Taipei.
At BAGTOWN COFFEE, we are passionate about the art of roasting and sharing exceptional coffee beans. From easy-drinking daily brews to exquisite top-lot coffees, and from bright light roasts to deep, rich dark roasts—we strive to create a space where you can fully explore and enjoy the diversity of coffee.
A little about our hometown—
BAGTOWN COFFEE is nestled in a quiet alley just south of Hondori, Hiroshima’s main street, and only a 10-minute walk from the Atomic Bomb Dome.
The city where I was born and raised carries a tragic history, having once been reduced to ashes. My father survived the atomic bomb at just three years old, while my mother was still in my grandmother’s womb. Today, as a second-generation survivor, I feel profound gratitude to operate our shop in the very neighborhood rebuilt through the strength and spirit of previous generations.
Marking our 10th anniversary this year, I took on the challenge of the Japan Coffee Roasting Championship 2025 (JCRC).
Sadly, I finished in 13th place—missing the top 12 finalist spot by just one position. It was a heartbreaking moment, but that burning regret has b
