I have a little thing I call milk insecurity.

At any given time, there’s usually 2–6 litres of milk in my fridge. 🥛
To most people it probably looks like a hobby… like I just really love making coffee and tea.

But honestly, it’s a bit more than that.

For me, a cup of coffee or tea in the morning is my lifeline. It’s the small ritual that helps me get out of bed, start the day, and feel a little more okay. Some days that simple cup is the thing that keeps everything moving.

So yes, my fridge is full of milk.
And yes, I make a lot of drinks.

But sometimes the things that look like hobbies on the surface are actually coping mechanisms, routines that quietly help someone get through the day.

Just a gentle reminder to be kind to the people you meet.
You never really know what someone is carrying behind the scenes. 🤍

Everyone's obsessed with matcha but for me the real spotlight is black tea.

And as someone who has spent over a decade making tea every single day… I kept wondering:

Why aren’t we doing this with black tea?

So I tried. The problem? When most black teas are ground extremely fine, they turn bitter. That’s one of the reasons you don’t see “black matcha” on the market.

But here’s what I’ve learned from working with high-grade teas: Premium black tea doesn’t behave the same way.
The better the leaf quality, the smoother and naturally sweeter it remains — even when treated differently. So I sourced an extremely high-grade black tea and stone-ground it into a fine powder.

Black matcha. Same concept as matcha. Different leaf. Different profile. Whole new experience.

And honestly? The ease is incredible. No steeping. No waiting. No waste. Just whisk and drink — you’re consuming the entire leaf.

I’m still perfecting it. But once I do… I might just start sharing this with all of you.

Because tea doesn’t have to stay traditional. It can evolve.

I visited 40+ cafés in Osaka and these are my Top 3 specialty coffee spots ☕️

Depe changed my definition of what coffee can taste like. Every cup was a new experience. They roast and source their own beans and bring in new ones almost every week — I never got bored, and every cup of coffee from them was a brand new dimension in terms of taste.

People say putting milk in Geisha is sacrilegious.

“You’re killing the delicate notes.”
“You can’t taste the florals.”
“You’re wasting the coffee.”

But here’s what happened to me.

I drank a $56 cup of Geisha black… and thought, “Okay… nice.”

Then I had a $15 Geisha latte… and my mind was blown.

And I realized something.

It’s not that the coffee was worse.
It’s that my tongue is trained differently.

I’ve been drinking lattes almost every single day for the past 10 years. My brain has learned how to pick apart flavors through milk. Sweetness, body, texture, balance — that’s my flavor language.

So when I drink black coffee, I’m basically using the wrong operating system to read it.

To appreciate black Geisha, I don’t need a more expensive cup.

I just need more time retraining my palate.

Conclusion: my brain and tongue is broken 😂

A complete stranger that I knew for 5 mins was so kind and generous that he treated me to a $56 cup of coffee because he heard that I don't really drink black coffee. It was a Panama Flying Pumas Geisha Jaguar coffee beans. Coffee crazy ppl are on a different level.

They love it so much that they want you to love it too!!

Having the best coffee in my life at Depe Coffee. It's the first time I've forked out from $12 to $30 for a cup of coffee. But you know what? It was 100% worth!

Every cup was delightful beyond words.

Can coffee taste so good? It was a question I always had on my mind. When I compared coffee next to tea, I found tea to be so much nicer. But I thought if people love tea and coffee so much, surely coffee can taste as good too right? Now, I can assuredly say that coffee can taste that good! It exceeded my expectations and opened up a world beyond my imagination. For that I am grateful and so happy.
