■「OMOTENASHI SELECTION」とは
日本の優れた“おもてなし心”あふれる商品・サービスを発掘し、
世界に広めることを目的に、2015年に創設されたアワードです。
おもてなしセレクションは、民間企業20社以上で運営しており、
認定に際しては、日本在住の外国人有識者による現物審査を実施しています。
使う人を思いやる心から生まれたこだわりの技、
伝統を継承しながらも現代に向けて改良を重ねる創意工夫の活動を「OMOTENASHI」「GLOBAL」の基準で評価。
「世界に発信したい“日本ならでは”の魅力にあふれている」と認められた対象を、おもてなしセレクション受賞商品・サービスとして
認定しています。

■ What is the "OMOTENASHI Selection"? Established in 2015, this award aims to discover products and services that embody the Japanese spirit of "omotenashi" (hospitality) and share them with the world. The OMOTENASHI Selection is operated by a consortium of over 20 private companies. The certification process involves a hands-on evaluation of the actual products by a panel of experts—foreign nationals residing in Japan. Entries are evaluated based on "OMOTENASHI" and "GLOBAL" criteria, recognizing craftsmanship born from a thoughtful consideration of the user, as well as creative efforts that refine traditions to suit modern sensibilities. Products and services are certified as OMOTENASHI Selection winners when they are recognized as possessing a unique Japanese charm that deserves to be shared with the world.
