π₯ How Nike Went from a Car Boot to a Billion-Dollar
JUST DO IT.
Three words that became global power β but did you know Nike started as a small idea between a coach and a runner?
π‘ In 1964, Phil Knight, a track runner, and his coach Bill Bowerman began selling shoes out of the back of a car. They called the company Blue Ribbon Sports.
In 1971, they renamed it Nike, after the Greek goddess of victory. That same year, a student was paid just $35 to design the iconic swoosh logo.
Fast forward:
β’ π Olympic athletes wore Nikes
β’ π Michael Jordan joined Nike in 1984
β’ π° Today, Nike is worth over $160 Billion
π₯ Moral: Big brands often start with small, bold moves.
π£οΈ Would you have bet on them back in 1964?
