Yesterday was the feast day of Saint Januarius — and suddenly, everything made a little more sense.

My dad was called January Mbuvi so maybe that’s why yesterday felt so special to me. Somehow, everything I had planned came together beautifully. I accomplished everything I set out to do, and I went to bed with that rare feeling of “Yes… today was a good day.”

Today, I woke up feeling absolutely awesome.

No pressure. No anxiety about what didn't get done. Just gratitude for yesterday, excitement for today, and a fresh heart for the new week ahead.

Sometimes life gives you these little reminders that you are exactly where you need to be.

And yesterday felt like one of those days.

Here’s to a beautiful new week — more progress, more peace, more farm life, and more reasons to be grateful.

GOOD MORNING FROM MBUVI FARM

I woke up at the farm this morning feeling refreshed, happy and ready to get to work. There is just something about waking up here… the peace is different, but today there is NO time to sit around! 😂

I have a full day ahead of me.

First stop — KALRO Kiboko to check out feeds and see what I can get for the goats.

Then back to the farm to check on the furrows I paid to have done. I need to see how the work is coming along because the next kitchen garden season is already on my mind.

I also need to check on the drip irrigation installation for my new September–December kitchen garden.

And then… the goats. 😅

Today is tick-spray day, so I need to spray the goats, clean the goat house and make sure everyone is comfortable and well looked after.

And as if that isn't enough, I also want to work on my driveway.

So yes… I came to the farm for the weekend, but clearly the farm had other plans for me! 😂

This is the part of farming I am learning to love — waking up with a list of things to do, working with my hands, checking systems, fixing things and slowly building the life I have been dreaming about.

One project at a time.

One farm day at a time.

FRIDAY | 6:00 PM

I arrived at the farm at 6 PM today.

And strangely enough… I don't feel tired. ❤️

You know that feeling when you get somewhere and your body just seems to say, “Ahhh… we're home.”

That's exactly how I feel.

I have my cup in my hand, I'm watching the sun go down, the farm is quiet, and for the next few days, I don't have to rush anywhere.

No city traffic.
No 8–5.
No meetings.
No deadlines.

Just me, my farm, my goats, the sunset and two whole days to breathe.

I'll be here until Sunday, and honestly, I'm already wishing Sunday wasn't coming. 😂

This is the life I'm slowly building for myself.

A life where coming home doesn't mean arriving at a house in the city.

It means arriving here.

At Mbuvi Farm.

And one day, I want every Friday evening to feel exactly like this.
