Brooder management in broiler production is a critical stage that determines the health and performance of chicks throughout their growth period. It involves providing optimal environmental conditions, especially temperature, ventilation, and hygiene, to ensure proper chick comfort and development. The brooding area should be pre-heated to about 32–35°C before chicks arrive and gradually reduced by 2–3°C each week as they grow. Clean, dry litter, access to clean water, and a balanced starter feed should be available immediately after placement. Adequate lighting encourages feeding and drinking, while good ventilation prevents the buildup of harmful gases like ammonia. Regular monitoring of chick, Proper brooder management reduces early chick mortality.

In the year 2015 Winnie Cheriyot from bomet county started her journey in poultry farming. With only 300 chicks she became multiplier and brooder.
